Following a redefined group mission to harmonize technology, people, and nature, Hitachi Zosen Inova embarked on a transformational rebrand—becoming Kanadevia Inova. The company needed a brand and a strategy that would bring its purpose to life and clearly differentiate its role in sustainable engineering and circular innovation.

8008 Brand Advisory led the global rebranding, implementation and activation process. As overall project lead, we:

 

  • Built and steered a cross-functional team across legal, finance, IT, marketing, and procurement
  • Maintained strategic alignment with the Japanese parent company via structured communication
  • Created the complete brand strategy and brand architecture, rooted in engineering excellence and future-facing innovation
  • Oversaw creative development with Interbrand and Admind, while shaping the brand tonality and behavioral framework in-house
  • Managed the global implementation—spanning the brand name, website, office signage, internal culture, and external communications
  • Continue to lead brand activation efforts, embedding the brand across markets and internal teams
