From an early age, Alex Asche was fascinated by the act of assembling disparate elements to create entirely new works of art. Her spare time was spent poring over magazines, meticulously cutting and skilfully assembling materials. This passion not only culminated in her becoming a renowned collage artist, but also led to the creation of GlueClub – an initiative that invites everyone to (re)discover the satisfaction and tranquillity that an evening of cutting and pasting can offer. For her latest exhibition at 8008 Studio, Alex unveiled a selection of 30 pieces from her ‘Edition #1’ series.
Alex’s captivating work graced our studio 5th October to 4th of November 2023, during which time we hosted several GlueClub events.
